What are your rates?
When is weekly cut off for shipments?
Express Air Freight Delivery: 4pm day prior to air freight shipment.Standard Delivery: 2 pm the day prior to ocean shipment.Our Fort Lauderdale, Florida warehouse closes for deliveries 5pm daily. (Closed Saturday and Sunday)
What are shipping days?
Ocean Freight typically ships a minimum of 3 days weekly based on freight forwarding schedule. Air Freight is available by request daily with an 10 am cut off time.
Do you offer consolidation?
Yes, we offer consolidation up to 5 working days.
Do I have to sign up for an account?
How will I know when my package was received?
Download our App SailMate by Fowlco on your Android or Apple device. Once you have the app you will receive notifications on the status of your package each step of the shipping process.
Do you ship vehicles and containers?
Yes, we do, please contact our office for more details.
What is personal shopper services?
If you are unable to travel, we offer pick up services and in store pickup for a nominal fee. Contact our offices for services and fees.
Do you offer customs brokerage services?
We have brokers on staff that can prepare entries in house and complete the custom clearance process and save you time, money and hassle.
What is the Monthly Grocery Run?
We offer a bulk grocery service monthly. Email firstname.lastname@example.org and request a grocery list. Once completed follow the instructions attached to the grocery order. We do everything else; from the store to your door.
What charges do I incur on my bill from Fowlco?
Customs Duty (as per the Bahamas Customs Tariff based on item)
VAT 12% (Governmental Charge)
Fowlco Fee (Brokerage and Freight)
Cargo Insurance 1% up to $500.
Do we ship to the Family Islands?
Yes, have your items delivered to our US Address, request an in-store pickup and we will ship your goods from Florida. Once arrived in The Bahamas we will send your delivery on the Mailboat service to the island of your choice. Contact customer service for process and fees.
Do we offer local delivery?
Yes, we offer free delivery on packages under 15lbs. Larger packages can be delivered for a nominal fee. We also offer pallet and container delivery.
How are refunds and returns handled?
Customers should verify their goods and packages prior to leaving our locations. Once customers leave the office, we are no longer responsible for the contents of the goods/packages. Customers are encouraged to purchase shipper insurance (see section). Claims can be made by filing a claim form. Such cases are processed in 5 working days.
